Insurance & Billing

Office Payment Policy

Here at Whitby Endodontics you are solely responsible for payment of all fees incurred during treatment at the completion of each appointment. If you have dental insurance, please remember that your insurance is a contract between you and the insuring company. We do not accept payment directly from the insurance company but will submit the forms electronically for you, when possible, to ensure you receive the appropriate funds back from the insurance company in a timely manner. Please be aware that although some insurance companies cover specialist fees, the majority do not, and, usually cover the general dentist’s fee, or a percentage of it, even though a specialist is performing the treatment. We do NOT accept personal cheques or e-transfers but do accept cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Debit Cards.

Insurance Information

At Whitby Endodontics, we are a non-assignment dental practice, which means we do not accept direct insurance billing or assignment of benefits. Payment for treatment is due in full at the time of your appointment. We are happy to assist with the electronic submission of claims (when available) and provide any required documentation or predeterminations for private dental insurance plans (a plan purchased through an employer or individually, not a government-funded program) to help you maximize your reimbursement.

As a non-assignment practice, our services are not compatible with government-funded dental programs, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Healthy Smiles Ontario. We are unable to submit claims to these programs, and patients are not eligible for reimbursement for treatment completed at our office under these plans.

Once a consultation has been completed in our office, our team is happy to send predeterminations to your insurance for recommended treatment.

If you have any questions, please call us at (905) 668-6747 or email our office.
